"RSS maker" is a known term for software applications used to create and edit RSS feeds.

You might not need an RSS maker if your web-site's content-management system (CMS) has built-in support for RSS-feeds. For example, if you have a blog that is powered by Wordpress CMS, there's an RSS-maker module included.

But if your website contains static webpages only, of it is a custom-programmed web-application, or the CMS used does not have any built-in RSS features - you have to use a standalone RSS-maker software application. RSS makers can be used to either create an RSS feed from scratch or import the existing data from your site's HTML-pages and convert them to RSS-format (our RSS Feed Creator has a built-in wizard for that).
